Hi, my name is Michael Harrison.  This is my site which is dedicated to following my Journey from Silence to Sound via a Cochlear Implant.

I was implanted in Feb 2003 and Switched on in March 03. The implant has been a tremendous success and continues to get better and better. Originally site set up as a way of telling relatives how surgery etc was going but over time it has evolved somewhat into an information source as well.

 Thanks to all of you who have been interested enough to read my diary entries and follow my story. I appreciate your interest and concern and trust that someone may even be encouraged by what you read.
